Maïté Duval

She sculpted and she drew. Without any art training she began making female figures in bronze in 1974: tender, intimate and strong. Her sculptures stand on squares, in sculpture gardens and in museum collections.
About Maïté
From Renazé to Zutphen
Maïté was born in 1944 in Renazé, France. She studied literature at the University of Rouen and lived and worked in the Netherlands from 1968. Her sculptures and drawings took shape in her studio and sculpture garden in Zutphen. Maïté died on 2 November 2019.
